I always knew that Daft Punk were arch samplists and nickers of beats, riffs and such-like from a wide variety of source material.
I didn't realise quite how much of their material was pilfered, though.

Thanks for the comments and emails. I finally decided...Live is the only DAW I use, ever! But it really doesnt matter that these...I use Ableton Live for this sort of thing. Anyone else a Live fan?...35 years, and the best they can do is upgrade the wiring, put better LEDs...read more

Using samples from other peoples work isn't half as easy as everyone makes it out to be, especially in the way Daft Punk does it. I still think they are great, especially becuase they clear all the samples and publish who they are from!
